You’ve got questions, I’ve got answers
Do I need a referral to see a Dietitian?
Not at all! You’re welcome to book in without a referral.
How many sessions will I need?
That really depends on you—your goals, the type of support you're looking for, and your budget. In your first session, we’ll chat about everything, and I’ll give you a clear idea of how often we might need to meet.
Follow-up sessions are usually booked as needed and can vary in length depending on what we’re working on. We can lock these in during your appointment or organise it later via phone or email—whatever suits you best.
What happens in the first session?
In our first session, we’ll dive into your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and goals. I’ll ask lots of questions (promise it's not an interrogation!), and we’ll come up with a plan that feels realistic and supportive—not overwhelming.
Do you work with people who’ve had a tricky relationship with food?
Absolutely. Supporting people through eating disorder recovery and improving their relationship with food is a big part of what I do. Whether you're dealing with disordered eating, chronic dieting, or just feeling stuck, I create a space that's safe, supportive, and judgment-free.
How do I know if this is right for me?
If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out with any questions. I want you to feel confident and comfortable before booking. No pressure, just support.
What’s the difference between a Dietitian and a Nutritionist?
In Australia, all Dietitians are qualified Nutritionists—but not all Nutritionists are Dietitians. The term Nutritionist isn’t regulated here, which means technically anyone can call themselves one, regardless of their qualifications.
Dietitians, on the other hand, complete 4–6 years of university training and are recognised as the highest-qualified nutrition professionals. We’re the only ones who can work in hospitals, collaborate directly with doctors and allied health teams, and provide services under Medicare and the NDIS.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Life happens—I get it! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please just give at least 48 hours’ notice (or 72 hours if your appointment is on a Monday) to avoid a cancellation fee.
If you cancel late or don’t show up, the full session fee still applies, as that time has been set aside just for you.
Running late? We’ll still make the most of your time, but the session will finish as scheduled. If you’re more than 20 minutes late, it’s considered a no-show.
All appointment times are listed in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)—please double-check your time zone so you don’t miss it!
