“Good nutrition is about coming back to your body—not controlling it.”

It’s so nice to meet you – I’m Annaleise :)

I’m an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist, and the founder of Your Gut Feeling—a space where science, empathy, and real-life nutrition come together.

With over eight years of clinical experience, including at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney, and as the principal Dietitian for Bondi and Double Bay Doctors, I’ve supported hundreds of people through gut issues, disordered eating, chronic conditions, and everything in between.

Whether you're feeling stuck in the diet cycle, navigating persistent gut symptoms, or trying to fuel your training without burning out, I’m here to help you feel better in your body and more at ease with food.

What I believe in

I’m not here to hand you a one-size-fits-all plan or shame you into eating perfectly. I’m here to meet you where you’re at—with calm, clear support that fits your life.

I believe:

  • Nutrition should feel supportive, not stressful

  • Gut issues deserve more than guesswork

  • Food is meant to nourish—not punish

  • Consistency beats perfection, every time

  • Your relationship with food matters just as much as the food itself

Why this work matters to me

I haven’t always had the best relationship with food—or my gut.

As a naturally driven, sporty kid, I was surrounded by mixed messages about health, food, and how I should look or eat. Like so many people, I thought being in control was the key to feeling better—but it left me stressed, disconnected, and constantly second-guessing myself.

At the same time, I was dealing with relentless gut symptoms—bloating, discomfort, and unpredictability that affected my day-to-day life and performance. This was before IBS was widely recognised, so I went through all the tests, with no understanding of why I was feeling this way.

I did what I thought I had to: cut out foods, tighten control, follow the rules. But instead of relief, I ended up feeling anxious around food and out of touch with my body. My energy, mindset, and athletic performance all took a hit.

Studying nutrition gave me the science, but it wasn’t until I started working with real people—and doing the work on myself—that I realised how much noise we all carry when it comes to food and our bodies.

Now, I help people tune back in. I support clients to move away from restriction and food fear, and toward a way of eating that’s grounded, nourishing, and sustainable.

A bit more about me…

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me outdoors exploring, soaking up the sunshine, or planning my next weekend escape. I love discovering local cafes (always searching for the perfect latte), cooking vibrant, nourishing meals, and experimenting with new flavours in the kitchen.

Movement has always been a big part of my life—these days, it looks more like beach walks, running clubs, Pilates, or a hike somewhere beautiful. I’m also a sucker for a good book, a great playlist, and meaningful conversations.

I believe in finding joy in the small things, creating space to slow down, and living in a way that feels connected to yourself, your body, and the people around you.
